iPod Battery

How about running your Ipod with a single ‘AA’ battery? Well, thanks to Voxred Internationals iTurbo, next week you will be able to. The device, the size of a lipstick dispenser, will go on sale next week, retailing for around $30.00. It comes with an ‘on’ ‘off’ switch to prevent battery drainage when not in use. The running time is roughly 9 hours on a single ‘AA’ battery.

Video iPods Shipped with Virus

Apple says the RavMonE.exe virus that came installed on some ipods should be easily detected with any windows anti-virus software. As long as the virus definitions are up-to-date, there should be no problem. Apple is recommending that windows users plug their ipods into their computers and run the anti-virus program, then restore the ipod to its original factory settings thru the iTuneswebsite. Apple is also recommending that all external mass storage devices be scanned as well.

Nike iPod

Apple Computer & Nike this week showcased their new products that will connect the Nike Air Zoom Moire running shoe with an iPod Nano. The sneaker will be equipped with a small sensor and receiver used to report running data in real time and track runners' progress. You will need to purchase the Nike iPod Sport Kit for an additional $30 to make it work.

This unit will come in handy to monitor such info as distance ran, calories burned & running pace. The information will be stored on the iPod and displayed on the Nano's screen. The Nike Experience software, available July 13th, will enable runners to program different workouts in the iPod Nano. When the workout is done, the data is stored and then synched up with a computer. Very cool.

I'm not sure how to fix an iPod if it shows error

The simple answer to the question "Is the iPod Compatible with the Windows Media Player" is NO. The iPod uses an AAC file format whereas the WMP uses WMA file format. This being said any tunes downloaded from Napster will not play on an apple iPod either. Nice of Apple, huh? - One way around this is to get software, such as Sound Forge, and convert the files to either WMA or AAC format, then you can convert them to MP3 files or WAV to play them on your I-POD.  So, what WILL they play in your Ipod, you ask, AAC, MP3 or WAV files.   I think the problem starts with ITUNES, they should let you download whatever format you like...

Of course, one way around this, is to get a different MP3 Player. There are a plethora of makes and models that are just as good, if not better, then the apple iPod and are Cheaper to boot!

I personally use an ILO and am very happy with it.
